Shopping on Sourcery

We've compiled some FAQs on how Sourcery works! If you still have any questions, just contact us and we'll be more than happy to help!

No, we are a marketplace platform. We work like Etsy, but for wholesale sustainable products.

We make it easier for small businesses like yours to buy from eco-friendly British brands by having many pre-vetted eco-friendly brands in one place, to make it easier to find the right products for your business and track all orders on one platform.

This allows each brand to represent themselves in the way they want, dictate their own pricing terms and not have to pay extortionate fees to wholesalers (who charge up to 60%!)

The minimum order quantity is defined by each brand and is shown on the product pages. As we work with small independent brands, they tend to have low minimum order amount and many have no minimum orders at all.

Shipping costs are defined by each brand and are shown on the product pages.

This is because when you shop on Sourcery, you are ordering directly from the brands in our community who are responsible for their own order fulfilment.

We don't seek to standardise this and make everyone have the same rates or use the same logistics suppliers as we have a wide range of products on the platform with very different transport needs (think of the costs in delivering beer VS soap!) This flexibility also gives each brand the ability to select the most suitable logistics and use smaller sustainable options for local deliveries (e.g. bike deliveries) that wouldn't work if all these were standardised.

All terms of sale are defined by the sellers and are shown on each product page.

This is because when you shop on Sourcery, you are ordering directly from the brands in our community, each of them are responsible for their own products and order fulfilment.

We don't seek to standardise these terms as there is a wide range of brands and products on our platform, it doesn't make sense for us to dictate these terms for them (think about the different regulations around selling food VS cleaning sponges!).

Selling on Shopify

Want to sell on Sourcery, but not sure how it'll work? Here's some FAQs that should help. If you still have any questions, just get in touch and we'll be more than happy to help!

1. Registration
Please register here so we can get to know your business better. Our team will then access your application to check that you meet our sustainability criteria.

2. Complete onboarding form
Once verified, we will send you an onboarding form for your company information, product information, pricing and delivery terms. To reduce your workload, we can also take the images and product descriptions from your website if you prefer

3. Login, review and go!
We will set up your account with your brand information and products preloaded onto the platform. All you'll have to do is login, review/edit details  if needed and activate product listings. Once you activate listings, they will appear on the shop to get selling!

When orders come in you will receive an email with the order information. Once you have fulfilled the order, you just need to login to the sellers portal and fill in the delivery information (which courier and tracking no.). You can also view and manage all orders on portal as well. You will receive the payment within 7 days of fulfilment with the commission deducted.

It's free to join and we only take 10% commission for any sales made.

You can remove any products or leave the platform at any time. You can disable or delete products at any time by logging in the sellers portal. To leave the platform completely, just contact us and we will disable your account for you.
